Here's an Inside Look at Kith's Second Miami Location

The brand’s quintessential neutral color palette is juxtaposed alongside vibrant shades of green, incorporated through the interior landscape design as a small nod to Miami’s natural beauty. Santa Margherita Rosa Perlino, Perlato Royal and Carrara marble floors and structures are woven alongside wavy fluted plaster, birch wood, brass and painted gypsum throughout both floors. The result is a sophisticated atmosphere that is light and expansive, as designed by Kith’s Founder and Creative Director Ronnie Fieg. Just weeks after launching its Beverly Hills flagship, the NYC brand has opened the doors to its second Miami location. The two-story space is located in the city’s Design District, where it offers the in-house collection and a wide range of brands for men, women, and children.

Directly across the street is a 1,000-square-foot Kith Treats store, which features a circular center bar of Rosa Portugalo marble, Carrara marble barstools and stainless-steel accents that highlight the store’s cereal canister wall. The location will serve new signature specials created by friends and family of Kith, and will also serve Belgian waffles with Kith branding. Further into the second floor is Sadelle’s at Kith bringing Major Food Group’s renowned New York restaurant to the Miami Design District. Kith and Major first collaborated on Sadelle’s at Kith Paris before expanding the brand with the Miami opening. White washed ash walls with picture frame molding are met by a checkerboard floor, fluted ming green counter and fluted Carrara marble header, creating a space that is both polished and inviting. Sadelle’s at Kith Miami will offer the restaurant's signature menu items including its infamous brunch.

Located across the street from each other, the shops share an obvious connection, signaled by their softly geometric storefronts and minimalist logos emblazoned in backlit neon. A relatively new fashion brand  from Italy is Nodaleto with its distinctive chunky heel and square toe. B-side is a Nikkei-inspired sushi restaurant located in the Miami Design District’s Palm Court. Sister restaurant of Itamae, B-side’s dishes are also rooted in Peruvian-Japanese flavors and traditions while celebrating local and seasonal ingredients. The Design District hosts free public tours of their outdoor contemporary exhibits several times a month.

Menus

Having enjoyed Tacombi in Miami Beach, it was good news to see a branch here in the Design District. Founded on the sand dusted streets of Playa del Carmen in Mexico, Tacombi has popular items from across Mexico’s 32 states. The menu categories include entradas, tacos and tostadas, quesadillas, burritos and breakfast tacos served all day. Miami’s only two Michelin-starred restaurant fittingly resides in Design District. At L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon Miami, find artfully composed, Miami-inspired contemporary French dishes (think seared scallops topped with coconut foam in a cilantro broth) in a dark and moody space. There’s an option to order à la carte, but if you can swing the price tag, go for the chef’s seasonal tasting menu.

Mrs. Mandolin is a great choice for shoppers who feel a tad intimidated by the huge, high-fashion brands dotting the Design District. This place is a little more chill (and affordable) than your average Gucci store. Founded by Ronnie Fieg, Kith started with two sneaker boutiques in New York City in 2011 and is now one of the most hyped streetwear labels.

Cole Haan reprises its partnership with streetwear icon and fragment design founder Hiroshi Fujiwara to create custom American Classics Penny Loafers inspired by ‘50s and ‘60s era Ivy League styles. Each loafer is crafted from premium full-grain leather, features a shock-absorbing leather footbed, and sits atop a high-traction EVA outsole. Perched atop the third floor of the Dior boutique in the Miami Design District, this petite escape is pure perfection. Museum Garage, called the most unusual garage in the world,  is much more than just a place to park cars. Though I’ve parked there on numerous occasions, I just discovered that The garage also offers interactive components, like a giant hidden slide  located on Floor 7 and ending at 6! There’s also an interactive net (goes from floor 6 up to 7) and spiral staircase (floor 7 down to 6). Many people go to the rooftop as well which offers an unexpected, stunning and unobstructed view of the neighborhood.

Design District’s go-to for upscale yet approachable dining is a great spot to stop for happy hour or book a reservation for brunch. It will launch later at Kith’s international locations as well as Kith.com&EU.Kith.com.

With modern-art installations placed throughout the district and the support from luxury conglomerate LVMH, it has become the retail destination in Miami for luxury brands to make a splash. The Design District, spread across eight-city blocks between 41 and 38th Streets, is a shopping district, home to the fashion’s most storied and exciting brands. It produces its own merchandise, which ranges from apparel to sleds and pens, while also curating products from other lines within its stores and website.

The Ronnie Fieg for ASICS GEL-LYTE III Remastered – Super Yellow will commemorate the opening of the Kith Miami Design District flagship. It will launch later at Kith’s international locations as well as Kith.com & EU.Kith.com. Kith was founded by Ronnie Fieg, a prominent figure in the footwear industry, who has over twenty years of hands-on experience. Conceptualizing Kith as an extension of himself, Fieg seeks to shift the current landscape of fashion, while operating under a personal philosophy of giving the consumer more than what they pay for. “Major Food Group and Kith’s partnership developed naturally out of mutual respect and our shared New York DNA. Our first collaboration launched in Paris, and we couldn’t be more proud to bring our beloved Sadelle’s to our new home in the Miami Design District,” said Jeff Zalaznick, Major Food Group Co-Founder.

In addition, Kith introduces the brand's first permanent standalone Kith Treats outpost, located directly across the street from Kith’s retail location, at 84 NE 41st Street. The Miami store, just like all of Kith's stores, was designed in collaboration with Snarkitecture, which has created a running motif that is instantly noticeable upon entering the gallery-like outposts. Lastly, Kith Treats, our culinary extension focused on cereal and ice cream, will also be housed under this roof for shoppers and foodies alike. For a second time, Kith has partnered with Major Food Group for their first US-based outpost of Sadelle’s at Kith. As a homage to New York’s tradition of all-day dining, the duo has curated a menu of quintessential classics like sliced-to-order House Salmon, chopped salads, and world-famous French Toast and Blueberry Pancakes.

This new store is two stories and will carry Kith’s in-house and multi-brand ready-to-wear, accessories and footwear offerings for men, women and kids. Established in 2011, Kith is both a multifunctional lifestyle brand as well as a progressive retail establishment. Kith offer an array of premium products, ranging from their own in-house label to a highly-curated luxury selection of multi-brand apparel and footwear. Upon entering, a circular structure centers the space separating the menswear from the womenswear; located at the rear of the showroom is a deep hallway of changing rooms with birch-paneled walls and ceilings. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the staircase with natural light, providing strong visual contrast against the white floating steps that connect the main level to the second floor. Once upstairs, customers are met with ribbed fabric walls across the expansive circular shoe room, providing a moment of warmth against the otherwise minimal design.

The 8th St AS350 by Ronnie Fieg for adidas Originals & Clarks Originals combines the timeless adidas AS350 upper with Clarks’ iconic crepe outsole. This model is crafted from premium pigskin suede with nubuck leather stripes, displays Kith & AS350 branding throughout, and spotlights Kith’s Elevation blue hue. Diners of Sadelle's at Kith Miami Design District do not need to wait in the store queue. Please let our host at the store entrance know that you will be dining in and you will be guided to the restaurant on the second floor.
